Hi All,

I am writing test cases for the new feature "System Date and Time" settings.
Kindly suggest me with the Expected Response for the below scenario.

Changed value for "Date and Time" and "Time Zone" are successfully reflected on the CoinfigUI of the system. Should it also be reflected in Phone's "Time Zone" and "Date and Time" in ConfigUI and TUI.
No, that page is only for setting the system time and timezone.
For Eg:
In LG phone(Phones---><mac-id>--->Time) we have a parameter called "Time" where there is a field "Time Zone" set to "GMT 00:00 London, England" by default. So when I change the "Date and Time" and "Time Zone" under System---->Date and Time tab and register the Phone,
(i) what should be the expected result on the Phone?
(ii)And should it reflect in the LG phone too.(Phones---><mac-id>--->Time---->Time Zone).

There is a page for configuring device time zone, under Devices -> Device Time Zone

Andrei

Maybe we should at least add a link from the system date and time page
to the device timezone page. I can see how this could be confusing

Kevin

From the above comments, this is what I understood.Kindly correct me if I am wrong anywhere.

(i) When date and time is changed from the tab "Date and Time" settings in the ConfigUI, - it is reflected only to the config UI and registering/rebooting the phones does not comeup with the changed date and time.

(ii) In order to change the Phone's Date and Time one has to configure them under "Device Time Zone".

So, now we have two different independent Time Settings ie
                                         -one for Server(System) and
-another for Phones(Device Time zone).

If my understanding goes right then in my opinion there should be link from the system "date and time page" to the "device timezone" page as suggested above.
Kindly suggest so that I can log an improvement issue in jira.

Thanks in Advance,
Chitralekha.
