I noticed that Paul and and Chris are discussing changing the label for 5.2
firmware to '5.2 or 5.4'
I thought I mention it on a wider forum since it applies to any plug-in
not just to audiocodes.
It's OK to change the label if we actually added the parameters that are
specific for 5.4. But I looked for the "support 5.4" issue against
audio-codes plug-in and I did not find it.
Plug-in developers should not be claiming that plug-in supports a new
version of firmware without going through Release Notes for the new
firmware release and adding new parameters or concluding that new
parameters should are not needed. And once it's done it's better to add a
new version label instead ('5.2' and '5.4' instead of '5.2 or 5.4')
