Hi,
I am working with Server Roles Feature testing. While going through the
feature I am having some queries with Add Server feature.
1. Is it Valid to add new server with same hostname and IP address that
of the default server?
( With hostname validation issue exists as
http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XCF-3253 )
Example :
The default Server is
Hostname : mercury.qantom.int
IP address : 176.25.10.204
Now I can add one more server with;
Hostname : mercury.qantom.int
IP address : 176.25.10.204 (with current build, it is valid )
Is this a valid scenario or it should be treated as bug with validation
of IP Address parameter that it should not accept the same IP address?
2. If the Above Scenario is valid;
Assign Call Center Server Role to newly added server. Disable all
other roles.
Send profile to new server.
Here after sending the profile, the first default server gets disabled
and second server with Call Center Role is enabled. Thus the machine
goes into bad shape as no other services run on it.
In this scenario we should _Prioritize_ the servers with, default server
always at higher priority as well as enabled.
3. If adding a new server with same IP address and hostname is invalid
then it will be better to provide a helptext stating the same.
