Mircea,

I am sure some others can give you better details on the script usage.
The important piece is that we display the output of the script with all
the records. My two cents on where it should be:
1. The test should be either a new menu item in diagnostics or somehow
integrated into the configuration tests page.
2. A quick link from the servers page to this would be useful.

Subject: [sipX-dev] XCF-3412 (Create screen to display DNS test
scriptresults)

Hi,

I am working on XCF-3412 and I want to clarify what is the best approach

to tackle this issue.
I suspect that I need to create a new page to display the result of the
execution of the following script:

./sipx-dns -t domainName callServerName/callServerIp -p

Is this set of options correct or I should use a different set of
options?

I run it on my machine and here is what I got:

[mirc...@caraselu bin]$ ./sipx-dns -t caraselu.itcnetworks.ro
caraselu.itcnetworks.ro/11.126.12.15 -p

; !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
; ! Missing DNS records:
; !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

; NS record for caraselu.itcnetworks.ro
;    server: caraselu.itcnetworks.ro.
;
caraselu.itcnetworks.ro.        IN      NS

; SRV record for service SIP TCP rr.caraselu.itcnetworks.ro
;     priority: 1  weight: 0  port: 5070  server:
caraselu.itcnetworks.ro.
;
_sip._tcp.rr.caraselu.itcnetworks.ro.   IN      SRV     1       0
5070    caraselu.itcnetworks.ro.

These results should be displayed for each location that has sipXproxy
service installed right?
Maybe a quick link can be added on the Servers page to launch this new
page

Please let me know if my understanding is correct.

Thanks a lot,
Mircea
