If anyone is interested in using a Netgear device for a home remote worker router this may be of interest.
We have seen the SPI Firewall is messing up the SIP messages. This can be seen in the registration screen as the remote worker will appear to be registering locally as opposed to behind NAT. To correct this disable the SPI Firewall option. This will still leave a firewall on just disable some of the ALGs and stateful packet inspection.
