Hi,
XX-5974 gives the ability to convert a multi-user chat into an audio
conference by issuing a special IM command. This is accomplished by
inviting all multi-user chat participants that have an associated SIP
account on the system to the initiator's audio conference via sipXecs
3rd party call control facilities. The problem with that approach is
that any multi-user chat participant that does not have an associated
SIP account on the system (as would be the case for external
participants , e.g. customers or partners) would be left out of the
resulting audio conference. To remedy that problem, it would be nice if
there was an ability in sipXconfig to optionally configure instructions
on how to reach a given audio conference externally. Each audio
conference would have such a configuration field which could be blank by
default. That way, when a multi-user chat gets promoted to an audio
conference, the configured instructions for how to join that conference
would be provided over IM to every external participant so that they
could manually join if they wished to.

The configuration field could be as simple as free-formed text and it
would be up to the administrator or the conference owner to provide a
string that makes sense for the given audio conference, e.g. "You can
reach my audio conference by dialing 613-763-1277 and enter conference
ID 4277". Alternatively, if sipXconfig offered a configuration field to
define the system's external number then such a string could be
automatically generated.
