This question is better asked on sipx-users, since it is about how to configure the current system; please direct any followups there. > I have registered 4 phones as 320,330,340,310. > 320 is the caller with following settings: > > offeringTimeOut > > (Default: 60) > > > Time in seconds to > allow an incoming call > to ring before dropping > the call, 0=infinite. > > ringBackTimeOut > > (Default: 60) > > > The Default serial fork expiration is set to 90sec. > > Call forwarding setting.. > 1) Call forwarding is set for user 340 as > Extension 340 will ring first for > > seconds > Always > Disabled > Enabled > If no > response > At the > same > time > forward > to > > ring > for > > seconds. > > > If none > of the > above > answers, > the call > will be > forwarded to your > > 2) Call forwarding is set for user 330 as > > Extension 330 will ring first for > > seconds > Always > Disabled > Enabled > If no > response > At the > same > time > forward > to > > ring > for > > seconds. > > > If none > of the > above > answers, > the call > will be > forwarded to your voice mailbox. > > Dialed 340 from user 320. 340 rings for 40 sec initially as set and > forwards the call to 330. 330 rings for 50 sec and gets disconnected > without forwarding the call to 310. call rolls over to the voice mail > of user 340. > > >From logs I observed that Phone 340 is sending BYE signal after > 50sec(ie after forwarding to extension 330). > Please let me know whether this is an issue or any other setting > should be done to make it work? What happened is that the forwarding times you configured for individual users don't override the serial fork time for the original call. This is the same reason that nested hunt groups don't work (user forwarding is implemented in exactly the same way hunt groups are). When the call to 330 reached 90 seconds old, it was cancelled and rolled over to its next contact (in this case, voicemail) - the fact that users downstream had more possible forwarding for it cannot affect that. This makes the individual forwarding plans more predictable. If 330 had configured 340, then 320, then voicemail, you'd have gotten the effect you expected.
