There is really nothing "default" about the firmware that is pre-installed. If you delete firmware in sipXconfig it's gone forever. If we were to provide an option to bring some device files back from the dead (BTW: anyone knows it's implementable?), how does the admin know which firmware has this special skills (and thus can be 'safely' deleted) and which does not?
