Yes, use a plain CentOS 5.2 ISO.  (Not a sipXecs ISO.  Never tried it
myself, but others have told me it doesn't work.)

Basically the only EDE item that you'll ignore because of CentOS is the
Fedora ISO pre-requisite.

You won't actually need a fixed IP address, since you aren't going to
run sipXecs on this machine.  You will only build, and then test on a
separate machine installed from ISO.

Steps 1. e & f mention Fedora 10, but aren't necessary when you aren't
going to run sipXecs on the machine.

It just occurred to me that your Step #4 script will go smoother if you
include the "-i" option, again because you aren't going to run sipXecs
on this machine.  Your Step #4 should be this:

   ./ede_build_devuser.sh -r -i -c 4.0
