But the binary patch in question IS RECOMMENDED FOR INSTALLATION on the wiki page http://sipx-wiki.calivia.com/index.php/SIP_Trunking_with_sipXecs:_Overview_a nd_Configuration#How_to_configure_sipXbridge And I believe many people have installed it.
