Hi Todd,

It is possible, but not planned for 4.2 at this point.

See XX-5367: Party invited to a conference by owner must still enter PIN

Subject: [sipX-dev] Feature suggestion

Today, when using the conference system, if you call someone, they have to
enter the Conference password to enter the conference. It can be awkward,
especially if you are calling someone to join in when they do not expect the
call. A workaround today is to remove the password for the conference port.

The password is an important feature, and is very useable when someone is
calling into the conference. But no when calling someone, and one could
assume that if you are calling them from your logged in portal, that you
have specifically given them the right to join the conference.

Is it possible to simply make the password not required when a participant
is called to join, and required when they call? It seems to be a simple
workaround that adds some great flexibility and user friendliness to the
conference feature.

Thanks Paul. I read it, it looks like it is on track to be put into the
application some day.

Just to clarify, my point wasn't to drive it to some release, but as a
suggest as an improvement, which it looks like was already realized by
others long ago. Looks like a solution is there for eventual
implementation.

Thanks again!
