I happened to test the instant messaging service in the following setup.
Set up:
------
I have a cluster of two sipx servers.
a) Enabled following server roles on Sipx server 1 :
Management,
Primary SIP Router and
Voicemail
b) Enabled "Instant Messaging" role on Sipx server 2.
*Note:*Only Instant messaging and Personal assistant services on Sipx
server 2 are running.
I expected instant messaging to work but it did not work.
Please let me know whether locating only IM service on a separate server
is valid and supported at all.
If it is valid, will raise a jira.
