You're assuming that my window manager puts a "close window X" button
around the window, which it does not.  But it does seem a safe
assumption that every window manager has a close-window function.
Although in every heavily window-oriented application I've seen, every
"popup window" has a Cancel button of some sort, and there's probably a
reason for it.
