Hi,

I was thinking about XX-6905 resolution and I need some clarification

http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XX-6905
Need to be able to create a certificate for the web UI that uses a name
other than the hostname

Comment from Scott:

"It should also be possible to upload both the key and certificate generated
outside the system and just validate that they are compatible"

My question are:

1.Regarding this statement, the only thing to do is to upload a public key
and save the public key file in the same location where the web certificate
was uploaded?

2.If the public key cannot be verified with the uploaded web certificate
then an error message will be shown to the user and the chosen key file will
not be uploaded

3.This functionality can be done in java but we need to know the key type:
RSA/DSA. To perform certificate verification we have to know the certificate
type (X509
is the most common type).
How should I proceed? Should I assume that the key is always RSA (or DSA),
or maybe sipX already offers a script that automatically does the
verification ?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Mircea
