Fair points... a couple of comments:

      * Re-organizing is trivial - if people put updated and improved
        content _anywhere_, we can move and reorganize it later if
        needed.

      * The above is easier if you don't create giant pages that touch
        on many different semi-related things (which is typical of many
        pages on the old wiki).  It's the web - use links.

      * My preference would be that for right now no one put anything
        into the 4.2 user space - let's get reasonable 4.0 documentation
        done first, then when that exists, I'll copy the entire space to
        4.2 and people can update it.  This is the plan for how all
        future versions will be done, so that the new version
        documentation gets done incrementally as we do the development.
        Of course, if no one does 4.0 pages, that won't work...

      * As for introductory content, yes, we need some, and I'd
        appreciate help in creating / porting it.
