Yes, I understand now. The user has no idea what a "group" is. It is especially confusing when the user is not a member of a group (or not of a group that has Speed Dials) because changing the 'Use Group Speed Dials' setting then does nothing. We could perhaps also change the setting label to 'Use Speed Dials from the XXX group", where XXX is the name of the highest precedence group with non-empty Speed Dials that the user belongs to. If the user belongs to no groups, or no groups that have Speed Dials, then the setting could simply be hidden. But then the meaning (and label) of this setting would change when the superadmin: - re-orders the precedence of groups; - adds Speed Dials to a groups that previously had none; or - deletes the Speed Dials from a group that previously had some. That also doesn't seem right. I don't see a good way to do this. Anyway, this is definitely a post-4.2 activity. Can you raise an general Improvement request to cover the issue (component: Usability), and we'll look at it later? -Paul [email protected] _______________________________________________ sipx-dev mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-dev Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-dev sipXecs IP PBX -- http://www.sipfoundry.org/
