Hi All,

We are using the following steps while creating/ importing/installing the web certificates.

  1. Generate CSR by providing details under Web Certificates >>
     Generate CSR tab.
  2. Sign the certificate signing request (csr) with the self-created
Certificate Authority (CA) using the following
command:* openssl x509 -req -days 365 -in <test_server>-web.csr -CA ca.crt -CAkey ca.key -set_serial 01 -out server.crt , *where *ca.crt* is the /self created Certificate Authority/ and *ca.key* is its
     key file.
  3. Now, import /self created Certificate Authority/ *ca.crt* under
Web Certificates >> Certificate Authorities tab --------> Restart
     the Configuration service when asked.
  4. Now either upload this /self signed/ /Certificate/ *server.crt* as
a Certificate file or as a Certificate text under Web Certificates
      >> Import Web Certificate tab by clicking on 'Import' button.
--------> Restart the Configuration service when asked.
  5. After config UI is restarted, open a fresh browser window and
     login to the config UI.

*Result:* The Certificate error is still shown.

Observation: After the /self created Certificate Authority /*ca.crt* is imported under ' Trusted Root Certificates ' of the browser, login to the config UI, does NOT display the certificate error and page directly navigates to the login screen.

My query ---> Is it required to import the /self created Certificate Authority /*ca.crt *under ' Trusted Root Certificates ' of the browser? If not, this will be an issue and will raise a JIRA for the same.

Thank you in advance,
