I am not aware of anyone still using the Spindle plugin.

I use the Eclipse Java EE IDE version, and I have found the Spring IDE plugin 
to be quite useful - http://springide.org/ . Aside from that, make sure to set 
up your Classpath variables correctly, and import the code style settings (they 
can be found under sipXconfig/meta/).
