Hello, XX-7600 (requested by Scott) asks that sipxbridge should copy unkown headers from one side of the B2BUA to the other. Dale points out the danger that some of these headers could contain addresses that a B2BUA would be expected to modify but since I do not know a-priori what these headers are, I cannot know which ones I should not copy. [1]
Note that these would be fine for a proxy to copy because a proxy does not do address transformations like a b2bua does. So I am a bit nervous about what I have implemented (potential for future interop problems) and would like to request some motivation and explanation of this requirement. Hence, I thought I should ask here: 1. What is the reason for this requirement. Is there a motivating use case for it? 2. Should we make this behavior configurable ( i.e. switch on the sipxbridge.xml configuration file ). 3. Please examine the filters I have applied in http://code.sipfoundry.org/browse/sipXecs/main/sipXbridge/src/main/java/org/sipfoundry/sipxbridge/SipUtilities.java The exclusions in copyHeaders applies to all the headers that are already dealt with on an individual basis in the sipxbridge processing code. Are there any other address related headers that I need to exclude. Thanks and regards, Ranga [1] He who knows not and knows not what he knows not .... -- M.
