The system would need to look at configuration of the calling Phone in order to decide where to route the call. I suppose it could be done using Dale's "instrument" functionality... But I also doubt this is the case. I looked at the help txt of the Location and Shared settings on the Gateway screen. It implies that the User's Branch, and not the Phone's Branch, is used for routing decisions. Could it be that the Phone's Branch setting doesn't actually do anything? If so, I propose we get rid of it for 4.2. We absolutely should not introduce a new setting that has no purpose.
