Subject: [sipX-dev] Query regarding making an intercom call using click and dial

Hi All,

Pre-condition:
Enable an Intercom group with intercom prefix set to *76 and ring time set to 5
seconds having phones 552 and 553. Send profiles to these phones and Activate
the dial plans.

Steps to reproduce:
1)Login as user 551-->Phonebook page
2)Add a contact with First Name : Inter
                                 Last Name: com
                                  Phone : *76552
3)Now go to Entries page and click on the user Inter com and click 'Call' button

Result:
Click to call page pop up window appeared with a phone number set to 76552.
Whereas Phone filed under phonebook contact is displayed as *76552

So in my case I can't make an intercom call using 'click to call'. In order to
make an intercom call I will have to edit the phone number field to *76552 on a
click to call window.

In the above scenario parsing of special characters from the phone field is a
design intent or shall I raise a bug?

As of now, we strip out all non-numeric characters. This is not exactly the
correct way to do it, we have to be more clever about it.
