Hi All, Please let us know if the following configuration is supported in 4.2 ? - MOH enabled on the sipXbridge and disabled on the phone. As far as sipxbridge with MOH is concerned there are 3 possible configurations: 1. MOH disabled on the phone and enabled on the sipxbridge 2. MOH enabled on the phone and disabled on the sipxbridge 3. MOH enabled on both sipxbridge and phones ------supported in 4.2 Suppose "MOH enabled on the sipXbridge and disabled on the phone" is also supported in 4.2 then following issue is seen: Setup: 1. To disable MOH for a user 420 in SCS: - In Features > Music on hold , "music on hold source" = System music directory - In Users > 420 > Music on hold , change the "Audio source"= None and click on 'Apply' and 'Save and Update Phone' button --> the phone reboots - In Devices > Phones > phone of user 420 > Lines > click on the line > Registration , here the 'musicOnHold.uri' changes to = [email protected] 2. Enable "music on hold" on the sipxbridge-1 > SIP screen (default = enabled) Steps to reproduce: 1. Make an inbound call > user 420 starts ringing. 2. Answer the call from 420 and press 'hold' --> MOH is not heard playing from the PSTN caller. 3. Resume the call after 20 + seconds --> the entire during the call was held there was no MOH playing. When the phone (user 420) presses hold it sends an INVITE sip:[email protected] SIP/2.0 to the proxy which is sent to the freeswitch. The freeswitch sends an 200 OK followed by a BYE to this INVITE sent by the phone. Only silence is heard. The sipxbridge sees that the phone has sent an INVITE to the MOH server and hence does not itself initiate an INVITE to the MOH server. Workaround: Goto Devices > Phones > phone of user 420 > Lines > click on the line > Registration, here change the 'musicOnHold.uri' = BLANK Now repeat the above scenario. The MOH is heard playing from the caller during the hold. This works because the phone does not send any INVITE to the MOH server , hence sipXbridge initiates an INVITE to the MOH server. Is this configuration (MOH enabled on the sipXbridge and disabled on the phone) supported? Kindly let us know so that we can update our test cases. Thanks, Chaitra |
