Madhu,

Probably you are trying to ask "not to show the branches option when the the branch for a user is specified through his user group"

Here are the steps..

1. Create a user 200. Create a user group 'groupa' and put 200 under 'groupa' Group.
    Create a branch mozilla.
2. At user group level(for groupa group) specify the Branch as mozilla.
3. As soon as this is done, the banner " Inherited branch: mozilla "
is displayed on the identification page of user and after. Just below that the Branch label and dropdowns are also displayed.

Now, for the user 200, if somebody tries to change the branch to some other branch (other than mozilla),
the following error is displayed..
"User group branch is inherited. Specific user branch cannot be different"

At this stage chancing the branch can be accomplished only through un assigning from user group(groupa).
Apparently the Branches dropdown and label are redundant under specified steps.
Hence can the Branch label and the dropdown be removed from this page(when user specifies his branch through his user group)? Please advise..

Thanks,
Anand

Hi All,

Created two branches 'qwerty' and 'sample' and assigned a branch
'qwerty' to user 200 .
When navigated to users identification page of user 200 , it shows
inherited branch :qwerty .
When we try to add another branch 'sample' present in drop down , it
displays an error message saying
'User group branch is inherited. Specific user branch cannot be
different'
Is this the design intent ?? If not the case then branch drop down
could be made non editable .
Can we raise an issue on this ?? Please share your thoughts??

Thanks
Madhu.
