As a user this confused me when I first started with Sipx. I thought there were some special need for each of these types of rules, when all they are supposed to do is make it simple to setup some standard rules. If the same default dial plan entries are created using custom rules instead, I don't think anyone would have a hard time understanding/creating/modifying plans.

None of these rules do anything that cannot be accomplished with one (or more) Custom rules. For simplicity, I propose that we remove these three types. Upon upgrade, existing instances of these rules would be converted into Custom rule(s) that accomplish an equivalent effect. Any objections? -Paul [email protected] [1] http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XX-7822 Reorganize how dial plans are created _______________________________________________ sipx-dev mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-dev Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-dev sipXecs IP PBX -- http://www.sipfoundry.org/ _______________________________________________ sipx-dev mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-dev Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-dev sipXecs IP PBX -- http://www.sipfoundry.org/
