Hi all, I can only find one use for the Voicemail dial plan rule's "Internal station extension length" setting: It specifies the *exact* number of digits to match following the "Voicemail inbox prefix". i.e. The respective "3" and "8" defaults result in "<userPattern>8xxx</userPattern>" in mappingrules.xml.
But why wouldn't you want the "Voicemail inbox prefix" to match when preceding a variable number of digits? This can be accomplished with: <userPattern>8.</userPattern>. Does the "Internal station extension length" setting have some other purpose? If not, then I propose removing it as part of XX-7822 [1].
