I was actually going to start looking in the tracker for an improvement request for ACL's that I thought I saw a while back and request an improvement for ACLs
I think ACL's (also known as CoS by some) would help solve permission issues that exist in larger installations, such as call pickup groups to restrict directed call pickups, ability to assign an administrator to a group of users for modifying their account, viewing CDR reports for users in the group, modifying specific auto attendants or whatever a user would need to administer, etc. etc. I realize that ACLs are a HUGE HUGE HUGE undertaking but I think they are necessary. For now I have been using "security through obscurity" in that I haven't been telling users how to use feature codes. Instead I just program them a speed dial button or EFK to dial the code for them. _______________________________________________ sipx-dev mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-dev Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-dev sipXecs IP PBX -- http://www.sipfoundry.org/
