inbound late negotiation lets you negotiate codec on hitting the dialplan which is a saner way of doing fax for example and also allows us to add codec changes in the future, as in codec setting per extension ... so for example specifiy g722 for all calls within and g711a or g729 for all calls outside, nail down g711a/u for fax calls if they are not t.38 and so on.
