From what I have seen so far, the mongo client driver that ships with Fedora 14 has a linkage to the older version of boost (1.42) if I remember correctly. This caused conflict in fedora 14. I needed to recompile the mongo client driver from source so that it uses 1.44. My take here is to lock down on boost lib and recompile mongo to use it instead of the other way around.
