It would be nice if it did, but it never has.  You always have had to
manually adjust this.

With 4.6 so close, I'm not so sure this is worth the effort in 4.4.

Setup procedure will be a bit different in 4.6.  I won't go into detail
here as it's not 100% done yet.  But I'll be discussing this at CoLab (
http://www.sipfoundry.org/sipx-colab).
