Yes, I tried in Spark. i.e. made the user 205 as the owner of the
conference and 205 logged into Spark. It asks for a password and when I
enter the password, I am able to log into the conference room.

Ok, so the room is password protected and pidgin didn't ask for
a password, this is the issue right? Can you try with other IM clients?
