M Picher,

I had kind of always expected this anyway, but it helps tons to see it
confirmed so I can just know to stop trying earlier. Funny enough this
helps me with a separate problem I am having which is trying to repeat
update a test server we have. I had been trying groupupdate and have
had occasional luck but this gives me the kick to finally accept "Ok,
fresh install every time, what do I have to do to make that happen".
The tip and script G Niculae mentioned will way help with that.

But on the particular SIPXCONFIG database problem I was doing a
groupinstall. I saw a suggestion from D Hubler about playing with hosts
and I am going to try following that lead a bit!

Thanks for the tip!

D Chang

intoSipXecs?

With the dev version of the system there is no attempt to make it so
that people can in-place upgrade.

Always assume that a fresh install is the way to go (at least that's
what I've always figured). With the stable release this of course is
not desired behavior.

We have been building and installing the latest code frequently and find

anyone out there has some tool they are using for re-entering lots of
data after wipes or reinstalls, or perhaps is using some scripts for
this purpose?

Thanks
