Hi guys,
I agree with you both. It would be nice to have firmware 7.x supported for snom phones. First result in doing this would be BLF support (supportend in fw 7.x but not supported in the plug in). Snom are really valuable phones but look a bit overlooked in sipx.

I only regret I don't have enough time and different snom phone models to start developing myself.

Agreed snom m3 and 370 support would be nice to have.
Polycom config files are supported and is an xml format. Since this is "newer" firmware for snom phones, there needs to be support for the firmware "in general". Perhaps posting to the sipx-dev list and asking about the status of this is a better idea. http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XCF/component/10053 In particular: http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XCF-2208 Which is already a known issue, but has not been put on any schedule to work yet. If you raise awareness, it might be scheduled or at least people can vote on it. The 370 is a unique phone with their OpenVPN support, and the m3 (we use one here too) is also very nice to have. Hi,

later Snom firmwares have changed to XML provisioning files. Will the
next version of SipX support this? Quite a few options are only
supported in the XML provisioning files, not the old format.

If not we might be interested in paying for complete support. Any
takers?
