Dimitris is in Greece, so I am not sure what is available there from a TECLO perspective. It is really going to depend on your telephone offerings from your carrier. ISDN can be offered in a large bundle, lile a PRI/T1 or E1. It is also offered in BRI (two voice channels and 1 signalling/data channel). ISDN is still very widely used in Europe. I'd suggest looking at a Patton Smartnode since they are based in Europe (Switzerland) and offer a very good cal control capbility to handle both inbound and outbound calls. They have an 8 channel ISDN router (4630 series): http://www.patton.com/products/pe_products.asp?category=5 they also have offices in Europe and could refer you to a local dealer if you wanted one: http://www.patton.com/company/contact_us.asp While you need to become familiar with the terms, you will also need to understand what your phone company is offering you now if that is what you are trying to use.

Yes, both are possible. > And something else : What is the real difference between an ISDN and > PSTN > gateway ? PSTN is the Public Switched Telephone Network. That means all "normal" phone lines of any type which are part of the global phone network. ISDN is a signaling type used on a T1/E1 circuit to deliver PRI services. ISDN is one type of PSTN connection. I highly recommend looking up all of these terms in Wikipedia and becoming familiar with them. _______________________________________________ sipx-users mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-users
