Yes it is possible. The sipXrelay component of sipXecs's NAT
compensation strategy simply relays RTP packets without any regards to
the actual payload type transported inside RTP.

Can anybody please shed some light on my question below?

May be it should sound like: is it possible to use g729 codec
for remote (behind NAT) workers?

        Thanks in advance,

        Nikolay.

        Hi all,

I'd like to understand if there will be any problems with g729
calls going through sipxbridge.

Assume that both remote and local phone support g729. Do I
understand right, that sipxbridge will just relay g279 rtp flow?

Do I need to purchase g729 licenses?

        Thanks in advance,

        Nikolay.
