We are testing sipx as voicemail solution for a radio broadcasting company.
They need to customize the voicemail system to switch the OGM based on the day
and hour, the OGM changes according to the programs schedule of the radio, to
receive the listeners comments. Because it´s massive callers, they need to
supress any other option on the voicemail, allowing only to play the OGM, promt
the tone and record for 30 seconds or after the caller hangs what ever cames
first. No transfer to operator, confirmation prompts or other menu options are
needed.
1. The calls will be routed to an extension and directly answered by the voice
mail system.
2. The OGM have to change based on the hour of the day.
Example.
06 to 09 ogm-06-09.wav
09 to 13 ogm-09-13.wav
3. The system have to answer the call
4. Send the personalized OGM based on the hour of the day (no other option must
be prompted, just the OGM and the tone)
5. Record the message without any other option (supress xfer to operator, any
menu driven,etc)
6. Hang up the call via timeout (30 seconds message recordig or silece
detection)
To solve the points 1 to 4 we have defined an extension for each timeband
(program)
and a scheduler for the primary extension that fowards the call to other
extension based on time.
For example:
All incoming calls from the gateway gets fowarded to the 4950 extension.
The 4950 extension has a scheduler thats works as follows
Monday to Friday 06 - 09hs transfer to 84951 (to directly leave a voicemail
message we use the 8 prefix)
Monday to Friday 09 - 13hs transfer to 84952
Monday to Friday 13 - 17 transfer to 84953, etc.
Each extension has been assigned to as the voicemail system for a specific
program.
Now we need to accomplish the steps 5 and 6 (supress all menu prompts and
confirmations), we know that this can be done by modifying the savemessage.vxml
located at the extensions mailbox but there is no documentation about how to do
this.
