I have been testing sipXecs with and am having an issue with the Display Name showing up when I call outside lines. I am testing the Display Name feature with Unlimitel and les.net. Both support Caller ID and Display Name.
For the Unlimitel and les.net ITSP settings in sipXecs, I checked "Specify Caller ID" and entered the appropriate values for both "Caller ID" and "Display Name". I made a call to a outside line that supports both, but only the Caller ID portion is showing correctly. The Display Name shows "Unknown Name". I traced a test call and see the display name being sent from the phone to the sipXbridge in the From header, but it is not being sent from sipXbridge to the ITSP. I then tried the same test using X-Lite directly to les.net. The Display Name value correctly showed up on the called phone. This shows that the ITSP supports the Display Name. I also captured the call using Wireshark and it showed the Display Name in the From header, as expected (which is missing from sipXbridge to the ITSP). Is there anything else that I need to do to have the Display Name passed to the ITSP? Regards, Tim
