Stay with me--this is a bit hard to explain. We've got a Audiocodes MP-114 FXO with 3 analog lines that are assigned to a hunt group. We've also got a PRI coming in on an Audiocodes Mediant so that each user has a DID for a private line. e.g., I have 7063140154 and 1154 on my phone. The 10 digit is my private line, the 4 digit is my hunt group line.
I assigned the 10 digit numbers to the receptionist's phone (Polycom 501) speed dial so that she could see the status/presence and transfer quickly. The problem was that if a user answered off of the hunt group, she couldn't see that they were on the phone and the transfer would go to voicemail. To fix the problem I added the hunt group extensions beside the DIDs to her phone. She now sees Matt and Matt-1, etc. on her expansion module. Say a call came in on one of the analog lines. If she answers before anyone else does it will beep her handset until all the green lights indicating the hunt group lines ringing are deactivated. I also have her expansion module completely full now since each user has two entries. How can I fix this to where the entry on her expansion module will show status for two lines or better yet the phone entirely? Thanks, Matt
