We've got 3 testing trunks with Covista. I had them on an asterisk box before,
using...

Outgoing Settings:

type=friend
insecure=very
host=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
dtmfmode=rfc2833
disallow=all
context=from-pstn
allow=ulaw

Incoming Settings:

type=friend
nat=yes
insecure=very
context=from-pstn

There was no username/password authentication required. I'm trying to move
those three trunks over to sipXecs, but it's giving them a 407 (Proxy Auth
Required) response. I asked them if they had a DNS SRV mechanism in place and
the response was:

"We are using a peering realm setup. We do not authenticate anything further
than that. Basically, your side needs to be set up to accept the DID traffic
as we send it."

Can someone explain to me what a peering realm is and how to tell sipXecs to
accept the communications from their servers?

Thanks,
Matt
