Now - Help required in
a) Interconnecting SipXA to SipXB
The easiest way to do this is to just make the two systems an HA
cluster; both will be managed together as a single system with a unified
dial plan. If either fails, the other takes over the load.
The OP said that the two systems will be at different sites, so surely
you can expect there to be NAT issues if you try to set it up as an HA
system. As I understand it, HA is not meant to cope with NAT
traversal. Of course, if the OP were to use a VPN, then this setup
should work fine.
b) All interoffice communication should be in G.729. Intraoffice
should be HDVoice.
At present, there's no way to enforce that with sipXecs. Media goes
directly between endpoints, the sipXecs system does not interfere with
negotiation between them.
What Scott is saying is that its a phone setting, not a SipXecs
setting. But you can configure the phone setting using SipXecs if you
use auto-provisioning to centralise the phone settings.
c) Office A has been running Trix for 1 year - I want to extract all
call logs (its in SQL) and insert that call log in SipX.
Why?
In other words, that isn't possible in any practical sense of the word.
Hoping for step by step help (I am windows admin)
That's asking quite a lot for a free users mailing list. We can give
you good pointers as to where to look for the information you need.
Best regards,
Keith.
