The issue I am having looks something like this:

I have a 6 line polycom phone and I have 6 lines assigned to the
phone, this means I have no line buttons left un-used on my phone.
Now the problem comes in when I add contacts under users/speeddial and
check presence. With presence checked the entries do NOT show up in
the phone's directory (no speed dial entry on the phone at all). In
addition when Presence feature is turned on for the phone the
"Buddies" menu shows up but is completely empty and I believe this is
where presence is supposed to be indicated for contacts when there are
no more free line buttons to display such info.

The only way to have the contacts entered under users/speeddial to
show up in the phone's directory is to disable "subscribe to presence"
next to the contact entry. This of course disables presence leaving
any one that doesn't have enough line buttons free to use for presence
without any way to use presence at all. It also leaves the "buddy
list" on the phone empty and thus nonfunctional.

Is this something I am doing wrong, a sipx configuration generation
error, or just the intended design?

I have had some discussion in irc that leads me to believe that this
is the intended design, when subscribing to presence the entries
should not show up in the phones directory, but the example above
shows an error in the logic of this approach as well as rendering the
buddy list nonfunctional.

I am seeing other's having this same issue on the list and in the
issue tracker but everyone seems to be confusing this issue with BLF
features and my BLF works as it should. This issue has nothing to do
with BLF.

Thanks, Brent
