Dave,

I've just checked the same thing on my mediant 2000 (I'm running 5.6).

I tried to set "pool.ntp.org" as ntp server through mediant's web interface.

It rejected the setting, and told me that "ip address must be of
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx form".

Looks like mediant does not recognize name in this field.

Nikolay.

Subject: [sipx-users] Audio Codes Mediant 2000 and NTP

I'm not sure if anyone has run into this. I have an audio codes mediant
2000 running 5.4 firmware which rejects the default value of pool.ntp.org
generated by sipx 4.0.1 as a valid NTP server. I successfully got the ini
file to load once the default value in sipx was changed to an IP instead of
FQDN.

Dave
