Geoff - ISA was a little picky - here is what I wound up doing: 1) Access Rule allowing all traffic from Sipx to the outside world
2) Publishing Rule allowing incoming traffic on port 5080 to sipx. 3) Publishing Rule allowing incoming traffic on ports 30000-31000 to sipx. I don't know why, but ISA did not work when I had a single publishing rule for port 5080 and 30000-31000 - As soon as I put them into two separate publishing rules - it worked perfectly. Let me know if you need any screenshots. Can you share your isa firewall policies & how your set the protocol filters up/published the sipx server? Sorry, but I've been banging my head on the wall on this one. thx -geoff From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Nathaniel Watkins Sent: Monday, September 28, 2009 2:27 PM To: Picher, Michael; [email protected] Subject: Re: [sipx-users] Sip Trunk - one way audio? Got it working - for some reason, when I broke the ISA rule into 2 different rules (one for 5080 and a separate one for 30000-31000) - it started working. Thanks for the help. Look for udp traffic 10000 - 31000 , tcp 5060, udp 5060, tcp 5080, udp 5080 Start with that I guess... Or just target all traffic to/from the IP addresses of your ITSP. Yes - I can enable logging on the ISA server to see what is going on - but I need to be fairly specific on what I'm looking for - we have a lot of traffic going thru there. ________________________________ From: Picher, Michael [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sun 9/27/2009 2:23 PM To: Nathaniel Watkins; [email protected] Subject: RE: Sip Trunk - one way audio? Do you have any way to capture traffic at the firewall? Mike From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Nathaniel Watkins Sent: Sunday, September 27, 2009 2:23 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Sip Trunk - one way audio? All I finally decided to try setting up an itsp and do some sip trunking. I am running the latest .iso 4.02... - I setup a callwithus.com account and made the necessary holes in our ISA firewall (udp 5080 and the 30000-31000 ports - I am not at the office - and think that is what I read). I am registering to callwithus.com and am able to make outbound calls. Audio however is only going one way. From my polycom 650 - I dialed my cell phone. I am able to hear audio on my cell phone - but nothing on my polycom phone. The polycom phone does not even ring. I do allow all outgoing traffic from our sipx box. Any idea on what I've neglected - or are the logs required to troubleshoot? I am assuming there is something inbound that is being blocked - but have no idea what it would be.
