I¹m having problems with MWI on Aastra 53i¹s using 4.02. They provision just fine using the built-in support (discovery even worked,) seem to register okay, and can dial extensions and use other trunks in the dial plan as well as receive calls. When a voicemail is received however, the message waiting lamp is not turned on and no stutter tone is heard when going offhook. Another clue seems to be that dialing 101 for voicemail prompts for extension first and not PIN.
I have no problems with Polycom IPs and softphones in this respect. A Polycom 501 tied to the same line/extension shows MWI for the line with waiting messages as soon as it comes up. Any ideas on how I should shoot this problem or does anyone know if this is a known problem with Aastra¹s and sipXecs? Bruce
