I think I may have solved what I had thought was a trunk issue.....so we have a main line here 905-608-1400 which is coming in through an MP114 fxo. Now that number is set to a user alias at extension 199. 199 is then forwarded to a hunt group (200) which will ring 2 more extensions (225 and 226 then go to 201 (operator) if no one picks up) That works great! Ok so heres the problem, we have a SIP trunk 905-817-xxxx dials out no problem. If this number gets called I want it to act the same as the main line (call the hunt group). I had tried adding the number to the alias of 199 which already has the 905-608-1400 number but it just rings once and goes busy, or just rings all the time.
So I tried to make a separate extension 198 give it the alias of the sip trunk 905-817-xxxx and make 198 forward to the hunt group, but still comes back busy or keeps ringing. If I tell 198 to ring a different extension it works no problem. I also tried to make another hunt group with a different extension and still call the original extensions (225,226 and 201) but low and behold we get a busy. Lol any ideas?
