Its not asterisk. You don't really expect all software packages to have the
exact same functionality.
The bit about exposing the functionality through sipxconfig is a primary
goal of the project (wiki).

The beautiful thing about software and open source is that you have a choice
you can exercise.

Outgoing server name, URL's, reply to address, look of such a form/email,
those things should be a given.

That's fine but how long of a time frame is that? I have a system I'd like
to
get online but will have to prevent email notices from going out since users
won't be able to reach the PBX. That's a very big loss for me and it's going
to be a big issue for many users are have become used to getting these on
our
asterisk system.
