I don't have a 4.0 system in front of me at the moment.

In theory, the proxy can be configured to use some other port by
modifying the template for the sipXproxy-config file
(/etc/sipxpbx/sipxproxy/sipXproxy-config.vm), and then also modifying
the DNS SRV records to use the alternate port.

You may find other files that explicitly refer to 5060 - see the change
comments for the issue you found above (click on the 'FishEye' tab at
the bottom and look at file diffs).

Until 4.2 this is not a "supported" thing to do.  No, I don't have a
date for 4.2, or even a date for a date.
