It won't help -- the DNS resolver that sipXecs uses does *not* look at /etc/hosts. (And it would not help much if it did, because every device that wants to communicate with sipXecs must be able to resolve the SIP domain.) > What is the best solution for this situation? That server will cache the DNS records to ensure that sipXecs does not have to wait a long time for DNS resolution.
