Yeah. I recalled doing an upgrade from 3.10.3 to 4.0.4 it did not install any freeswitch stuff and I had to do it manually.
I was hoping to remove/reinstall the package in the event there are other issues with configuration. I am of the mind the issues are "known" freeswitch issues that weren't resolved before it was package based on the errors I'm seeing in the logs. Auto attendant relies on Freeswitch doesn't it? I thought that was part of 4.0..... Is it an accurate assumption if the role of conferencing is NOT assigned, in 4.0.4, that freeswitch does not need to run at all? I have a system that freeswitch uses 100-200% of CPU (dual), with conferencing unassigned. I don't seem to be able to easily uninstall freeswitch without forcing, and want to understand whether or not it would keep a system from working if it is removed. When FS runs above 10% CPU users begin to have issues with media on ITSP calls intermittently and moreso as CPU climbs. If it cannot be uninstalled, is there a way to disable the service from startup without affecting the other services? -- ====================== Tony Graziano, Manager Telephone: 434.984.8430 Fax: 434.984.8431 Email: [email protected] LAN/Telephony/Security and Control Systems Helpdesk: Telephone: 434.984.8426 Fax: 434.984.8427 Helpdesk Contract Customers: http://www.myitdepartment.net/gethelp/ Why do mathematicians always confuse Halloween and Christmas?
