Note: I wanted to post this in the forum under the original thread, but kept getting an invalid posting password error. I don't see the posting password field on newer threads. Maybe I can't reply because the thread is so old? Please see the following thread for more info: http://forum.sipfoundry.org/index.php?t=msg&goto=9518&S=5b913512ef3128221f7f9c325218569f&srch=odd+voicemail+issue#msg_9518
Under the SIP tab I changed Mark All AVT Packets to no Under the line settings DTMF Process INFO: NO DTMF Process AVT: NO DTMF Tx Method: Auto I can now get in each time without issue.
I had the same issue; I was not able to retrieve my messages from home, as it always said my password was invalid (even though it was correct). I have resolved this issue with the help of these posts (thanks geoff!). I thought I'd share my results and offer a suggestion. Note: I could only reproduce this issue when the device was a remote worker. If it was local, I could not reproduce the issue. I first changed the following settings based on instructions in the sipx-wiki: Preferred Codec: G711u Use Pref Codec Only: yes DTMF Process INFO: no DTMF Process AVT: no DTMF Tx Method: Auto DTMF Tx Mode: Strict I had previously changed RTP Packet Size to 0.020. This definitely reduced the frequency of the problem, but the issue still happened about 40% of the time. I then made the following change: Mark All AVT Packets: no This appears to have resolved the issue. I tried about 20 times and I could not reproduce the issue. There are existing PAP2 notes on the sipx-wiki in the following location: http://sipx-wiki.calivia.com/index.php/HowTo_configure_Linksys/Sipura_Gateways_(FXS) This page already recommends to make the following changes to the PAP2 device: Under the sip tab: RTP Packet Size: 0.020 Under the line settings: DTMF Process INFO: no DTMF Process AVT: no DTMF Tx Method: Auto DTMF Tx Mode: Strict I think we should change this to the following: Under the sip tab: Mark All AVT Packets: no RTP Packet Size: 0.020 Under the line settings: DTMF Process INFO: no DTMF Process AVT: no DTMF Tx Method: Auto DTMF Tx Mode: Strict Also, I think that the instructions should also be updated to specify that the Voice Mail Server should be set to . This will allow voice mail notification to work. Regards, Tim
