Their presence works very well.
Actually, don't put the string in the presence configuration. Just enable presence on the individual users in your list, and it will work fine. I've found a few issues in the past with this application, and they were incredible, having them fixed the next day. I highly recommend using a separate phone and using the tether feature on it. It is a superb feature.
